The Red Hand Tarot is a fully-illustrated 78 card deck printed at the standard Tarot size of 2.75x4.75" on casino quality linen card stock with black core and gloss coating, intended for durability, vibrant image reproduction, and ease of handling/shuffling. Each deck has red gilt edging to complete the high quality look even around the edges of the cards. Every deck is housed in a rigid two-piece box designed to provide protection and longevity even while you’re on the go, and comes with a booklet for easy reference.

The Red Hand Tarot is a Tarot deck following the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition (often shortened to RWS), featuring 78 unique illustrations that depict a gracefully gothic aesthetic. The Red Hand Tarot has a stark red and black color scheme with highlights of white, giving it a cohesive look throughout. While the images have a darker horror-esque theme, they contain all of the varied archetypes and meanings of a standard Tarot deck.

I’ve additionally included card titles based on (but not a 1 to 1 match with) their traditional Golden Dawn titles, which can be found at the bottom of the cards. These titles can provide some extra insight into the historical card meanings. I’ve replaced the previously gendered honorifics “The Lord of”, “Daughter of” etc that were in these titles with genderless signifiers such as “Sovereign”, “Descendant”, “Child” etc. For the Minor Arcana cards, I’ve simply shortened the titles by removing the honorific, so that instead of, for example, “The Lord of Established Strength” it just reads “Established Strength”.

As with those title changes, depictions across this deck are varied in their bodies, races, ages, sexual orientations, and genders (yes, even and especially the court cards, which despite their naming, follow no specific gender expression, emphasizing reading by their themes and archetypes independent of a restrictive idea of a gender binary). Elemental, planetary, and zodiac associations are also on the cards for ease of reference.
